Application Process

If you are interested in adopting, please complete the online application form found on our Adoption Form page. We will contact you after your application is received.

Our goal is to match the desires of the applicant with the needs of the dog. All dogs adopted through Goliath Mountain Rescue will be spayed or neutered and micro chipped.

 

Adoption Fee

Our standard adoption fee is $150. This includes spay/neuter, microchip and vaccinations.

 

Transitional Care

Your dog undergoes the following preparations before being completely turned over to you:

• Micro-Chipping

• Vaccinations

• Spay/Neuter

• Temperament Assessment

ADOPTED: Juneau • 2-3 Years • Male Husky Juneau is a very sweet, happy guy. He loves to cuddle, give kisses and spend time with his human. Juneau is an easy-going dog and loves to either hang out or be active. He rides well in the car and is currently learning basic commands. Juneau has a very strong prey drive, strong pulling tendencies, and strong escape tendencies. He is a very loving boy and looking for his forever home.

ADOPTED: Anook • 1-2 Years • Female Husky Anook is a very sweet, well mannered, quiet husky. She does very well on a leash, though she does pull. She likes her walks and loves spending time with her human. She is a bit insecure in the car but this will lessen with time and exposure. She is a great girl.

ADOPTED: Denali • 1-2 Years • Male Husky Denali is a very gorgeous husky. He loves to run and play chase and also loves to play with a ball. He does well on the leash and is a very minimal puller. He also rides fine in the car. Denali would love to find his forever home where he can feel secure and bond with his new human family.

Greta (will be available, is currently in training) • 3 Years • Female German Shepherd Greta is a very intelligent dog with a high desire to please. Greta will require a very experienced person who can continue behavioral work with her. She has a very high level of energy and wants to be with her person 24/7. She will need to continue to develop confidence and during this time should not be around other dogs. She should not be around kids as she jumps and is very strong.

Adopted: Aria • 1-2 Year • Female White German Shepherd Aria is a beautiful lady who is very sweet and friendly. She needs a little work with manners but responds quickly when corrected. She is new to rescue so still learning about her.
